Abstract:
The current study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a suggested program in psycho-linguistic activities based on one of the artificial intelligence applications to develop social communication skills in a sample of autistic children and verifying the lasting impact of this program among this group of children. The study utilized the experimental research approach of one experimental group design of pre-and post-application of the study tools on the study sample that comprised (12) autistic (4:8 years old) who frequented the Al-Wafa Foundation for Development and Care of People with Special Needs in El Minia Governorate in 2021/2022.  For data collection, the pictured social communication skills scale for autistic children (by the researcher), the Childhood Autism Rating Scale–Second Edition (CARS2), The Stanford Binet intelligence scale 5th ed. (Arabization of Safwat, 2011), and the program in psycho-linguistic activities based on one of the artificial intelligence applications to develop social communication skills of autistic children with autism (by the researcher) were applied. Results demonstrated the effectiveness of the program in psycho-linguistic activities using artificial intelligence applications in developing social communication skills of autistic children. The research presented some recommendations including the need to rely on artificial intelligence applications in the kindergarten learning environment and centers forpeople with special needs, to benefit children with special needs in general and those with special needs in particular.
