Abstract:
        The aim of the research is to know the big five personality factors and social values ​​that predict Suicidal tendencies in a sample of university youth, and the sample consisted of (170) university youth, including (70) males, and (100) females. The Big Five Personality Factors scale Schwartz values, and the suicidal tendencies scale, and the results showed that there are statistically significant differences in The Big Five personality factors in the neuroticism dimension in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences in social values ​​(achievement - Hedonism - Stimulation - Self-direction) in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences in The tendency to Suicidal Tendency (the tendency to self-harm) in favor of males, as it turns out that there is a negative relationship between extraversion and each of the tendency to self-harm, indifference and pessimism towards life, and there is a negative relationship between the conscientiousness and the tendency to self-harm, and there is a positive relationship between agreeableness and willingness to commit suicide, and negative relationship between values (achievement - -Hedonism -Self-direction) and the tendency to self-harm. It was also found that extroversion cannot predict a tendency to self-harm, and that agreeableness can predict willingness to commit suicide, and social values Autism (Self-direction) cannot predict a tendency to (self-harm).
