Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between self-stigma and some personality variables (self-esteem - future anxiety - perceived self). Determining the differences between divorced women from rural and urban areas in personality variables and self-stigma. The comparative correlative descriptive method was used. The data collection tools were the following scales: the self-stigma scale prepared by the two researchers, the self-esteem scale prepared by Eysenck & Wilson, (1979) translated by Aladdin Kafafi, Jaber Abdel Hamid Jaber , the future anxiety scale prepared by the two researchers, and the perceived self-scale Prepared by the two researchers. , in order to achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions, and this study was conducted on (226) divorced women from rural and urban areas, their ages ranged from (21-45) years. The results of the study revealed a direct relationship between self-stigma and self-esteem, a positive relationship between self-stigma and future anxiety, an inverse relationship between self-stigma and the perceived self, the possibility of predicting (future anxiety, self-esteem, and the perceived self) with self-stigma, and the presence of differences between divorced women. From rural and urban (self-stigma variable) in favor of rural, and there are no differences between rural and urban divorced women (self-esteem, future anxiety, and perceived self).
