Abstract:
The aim of the research is to identify the role of kindergarten in the environmental education for child, and to analyze the ministerial bulletins and directives and the teacher's guides for the new curriculum and some initiatives and competitions related to environmental education, and to identify the most important challenges of climate change facing the child's education, as well as to identify the requirements necessary to develop the role of the kindergarten in the environmental education of the child From the point of view of experts and specialists in the fields of child education, kindergarten guidance, curricula and methods of teaching geography, agricultural sciences, science and social studies, the research used the analytical descriptive approach, and the tool was a questionnaire that included (12) axes under each of these axes a set of requirements associated with it. The sample number of experts and specialists was (39) (24 faculty members, (15) kindergarten instructors).
The research presented an analysis of the expected roles of the kindergarten in the field of environmental education for the child in the light of the challenges of climate change. It also presented an analysis of the contents that are related to the environmental education of child in the teacher's guides for the new curriculum, ministerial bulletins, initiatives, competitions and trainings related to environmental education. The research ended with presenting the necessary requirements for developing the role of the kindergarten in the environmental education of child from the point of view of experts and specialists, and defining them in terms of importance and the degree of ease of application.
