Abstract:
The aim of the current research is to prepare a program using the electronic story and measure its effectiveness in developing the skills of empathy and taking responsibility for a group of twenty-two children with educable mentally retarded children at the Intellectual Education School in Sohag. The researcher prepared the following tools: And a program using the electronic story to develop the skills of empathy and tolerance Responsibility for the mentally handicapped children who are able to learn, Testing  of  life skills for the mentally handicapped children who are able to learn, a guide for the teacher and the child’s worksheets, and by using non-parametric statistics, Wilcoxon’s test and the modified earning equation, the research found the effectiveness of the electronic story in developing the skills of empathy and taking responsibility for educable mentally retarded children, the effectiveness of the program was reached in developing the skills of empathy and taking responsibility and achieving the validity of the research hypothesis, with the presence of statistically significant differences between the pre and post applications in children's grades in favor of the post application, which indicated the effectiveness of the program used in developing the skills of empathy and bearing responsibility Children have Mg Research group The research presented a set of recommendations and suggested research.
