This research followed the quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach in determining the most important skills in poetry recitation for children. It was also used to determine the poetic linguistic characteristics of child in early childhood and its reflection on the choice of poems included in the proposed training program. The semi-experimental approach based on the two groups (experimental and control) was also used in the implementation of research tools, represented in the children's poetry program in Bahr Almtadark and the observation card of Arabic poetry recitation skills for children in early childhood. The research sample included (400) children from four different schools (experimental - governmental - private - national) in Alexandria Governorate. The observation card of Arabic poetry recitation skills for children in early childhood "prepared by the researcher" was pre – post implemented on the two groups to verify the effectiveness of the strategy used in the training program based on musical rhythm in developing some poetry recitation skills for the children of the sample. The result for the calculated (T) value of for the degrees of post measure of the experimental group on the development of poetry recitation skills of children was higher than the mean degrees of pre measure. The results of post measure were also in favor of the experimental group compared to the results of the post measure of the control group. This indicates the effectiveness of the suggested training program in developing the research targeted recitation skills for the children of the sample.
