Abstract:
The aim of the current research is to develop the reading and writing readiness skills of kindergarteners, through a proposed electronic program based on some arts of children’s literature, and to achieve the research objectives, the research tried to answer the following questions:
Q1: What are the reading and writing readiness skills needed for kindergarteners?
Q2: What are the entry levels of kindergarteners in these skills?
Q3: What is the proposed framework of an electronic program based on Some arts of children's literature to develop the reading and writing readiness skills necessary for kindergarteners?
Q4: What is the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing the reading and writing readiness skills necessary for kindergarteners?
The research also included the following tools:
A questionnaire of the reading and writing readiness skills necessary for kindergarteners (5–6-years)

A pictorial scale of reading and writing readiness skills for kindergarteners (5-6 years)
An electronic program based on some masterpieces of children's literature to develop the reading and writing readiness skills necessary for kindergarteners.
A teacher's guide to using the proposed electronic program based on some masterpieces of children's literature.

The most important research findings: The proposed electronic program based on some masterpieces of children's literature proved effective in developing the kindergarteners’ reading and writing readiness skills.
